One Section at a Time (Rim Trail Adventure)

This is a picture of me looking down into the Carson Valley. We started on the trail around 9:00am and hiked a full 2 days. The highlight of this hike was reaching Freel Peak 10,888 ft.

This tree reminded me of the Wizard of Oz. I talked to him but he did not talk back nor did he throw apples at me. LOL
My good friend Jon and I looking at Lake Tahoe. Ive known Jon for almost 10 years now and it was so much fun to go on this overnight backpacking trip with him. We had a blast.
This is Star Lake 9 miles into the trail. We stayed the night here and I caught five fish. And threw them back so someone else could catch them too.

This is a video I took at the top of Freel Peak. You can see Washoe Lake on one side, Kirkwood on the other side and everything else in between. Freel Peak sits behind Jobs sister and Jobs peak. It is the highest out of those three and in this Carson Valley. Up top there was an ammo box full of letters dated as far back as 1999. It was nice just to sit up there in the fresh mountain air and read a few and also write one of my own. If you want to know what I wrote "STRAP YOUR PACK AND GET HIKE'N"And for those who are wondering I did not need oxygen. LOLThe total length of the trip was 25 miles and we conquered it in 2 days.
