First Day of Pre-School

Tyler had his first day of pre-school today. We first started our day off with our usual "Big Family Breakfast". Breakfast is our favorite meal of the day around our house. I made him a yummy blueberry pancake with some scrambled eggs w/ ketchup. He gobbled it up and was excited to get dressed. Once he was dressed he put his backpack on and walked around the house role playing his day. This kids favorite past time is role playing. So this morning is was playing pretend school. We stepped outside for some cute pictures and I am so glad my camera captured his true personality and character. He is such a cute kid.

The cool look
Say Cheese!!!!
My Father would give me a school blessing before each school year and we decided to do the same for Tyler. Thanks to daddy's sweet blessing Tyler had no fears. He was calm and ready to start his adventure in pre-school. The minute they opened the door he bolted straight for the entrance. After snapping a picture I ran up to walk in with him. As we entered the doorway he hesitated for a moment and with a big sigh he grabbed my hand and in his sweet voice said " Mommy I'm gonna miss you" As my eyes filled with tears I rubbed his back and told him how much I loved him and that he would be just fine. I reminded him to always say a prayer when he gets nervous or lonely. I would do that as a kid and Ive been trying to teach Tyler the same thing. He has really found comfort through small prayers in times when hes been nervous. He's so sweet.

He hung his Batman backpack up on the rack and headed straight to the playroom. He meet a really nice boy and they played together.
As I prepared myself to leave I tried to keep my eyes dry, but once I got into the car I lost it. A Mothers Heart got the best of me. It was so hard to leave him in a new environment with new people. And to realize that my baby is growing up. I followed the same advice I gave Tyler and said a small prayer that he would be watched over and that I could relax and get through my morning without being a basket case. I did pretty good it was very quite around the house though. His school is from 9:00am-11:30am. I missed him a lot but, was so glad to see that he had a great day. Daddy picked him up and brought him home. Ty said he had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back.

What a cutie! Have to cancel for next weekend-let me know if you do a family photo shoot again and I want you to take Elliot's 1-year pics-if you can (in November)! Hope you're doing well and give me a call soon! I know that you're crazy busy this month.

It makes you happy and sad at the same time when they start school. happy because it is fun to see all the things they learn and sad because it means they are getting bigger and becoming litte people and not that cute baby you once held.
