We as a family have started a new thing. We have decided to make Sunday "Service Day" This has been a dream of mine and a goal ever since having kids, I have just been waiting for them to get a little bit older. I thought why not put their cuteness to work and put some smiles on everyone's face through service. what better day than Sunday. Its been nice to have a purpose for our day rather then laying around being bored. This past month we have been visiting a small local care home. Its been a great experience and we have created some great friends there. The boys talk of their new friends all week and cant wait to go back each Sunday.
On the way home from church today Tyler had a great idea of making "I Love You" cards for his elderly friends. After some yummy Mac & Cheese Tyler got to work. Its been really neat to see the passion and love my boys have for service and loving others. Its become a great Sunday Tradition. Today after passing out his cards he joined a group of elderly ladies in a fun filled afternoon of karaoke. it was a riot to see him dancing and singing his heart out. I LOVE Service Sundays.
