Tyler has turned 5. Where did the time go for reals. I was just pregnant with him ad we were just living over on Proctor street, broke as a joke, just married, and clueless to parenthood. I blink and this is what happens. My baby turns 5. How I wish I could go back sometimes and squeeze those tiny hands in my palm, or cradled him in my arms during a warm bath, or even hear his tiniest cries for his MaMa's warm hugs and kisses. There something different about your first kid that I just cant pin point. I guess you could call it naive and innocent. Every new year and every new challenge invites new growth within myself as a Mother. We as Parent/child go through life..... experiencing everything together for the first time. Its great, its exciting, its humbling, its rewarding. This year Tyler has been begging for an Ice Cream Cake for his birthday. he states he wants one every birthday for the rest of his life. Once again I took on a new challenge with great zeal. Happy Birthday Tyler and here's to many more Homemade Ice Cream Birthday Cakes. Love ya bud!
Mommy got him a camera for his birthday. hes been snapping away ever since. Like Mother Like Son
He loves his new army jet and figurines. His genre of toys are changing and its fun to see the new toys enter into our home with excitement and energy.
Homemade Ice Cream Cake "Monster vs Aliens" Style. Tyler insisted on drawing the Alien Robot. It was the perfect touch to this cake.
I was so pleased as I cut and the first slice and noticed this ice cream cake rookie passed with perfect scores. It was delicious. Now if I can pull off the "Ice Cream cake Cupcakes" for his birthday party Ill consider myself a pro, until then I will prepare to meet that expectation. We will see!
