Mommy school this year has been a challenge for me. This year im trying to mainly focus on Trevor, but have notice Tylers many pleads to be challenged as well in his simple yet expanding little mind. You would think Tyler would be just happy as a lark with learning his basic alphabet, colors and shapes in his pre-K, but if any of you know my son he constantly needs to be challenged or he becomes bored. I truly am worried about him being bored in Kindergarten next year, when i find myself teaching him 1st and 2nd grade level in Mommy school. I am grateful that he enjoys being challenged, I hope he can carry that atribute with him through these next many long years of school ahead of him. As for Trevor I have remained true to my goal of giving him an early start in Mommy school with just as much focus on him as I do Tyler. Its become quit the juggle act, but so far its been running quit smooth. Im glad trevor has a big brother to look up to that loves to learn, so even if i find myself mixing up my lessons they both benefit from one another and build each other up. I love Mommy School.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...Aaaaaaple"
Tyler has requested that he would like to learn about space and all the planets. It just seemed fit for him and Trevor to watch the Space Shuttle take off this past week. It was so cute to listen to them joining in on the countdown. it was a pretty unforgettable experience for them.
Trevor learning the letter "C" and the Moon shape.
I gave Tyler this poster of the solar system and all the planets. He was able to read off all the planets and their colors. I gave him an assignment to draw each planet and label them. He absolutely loved the challenge and excelled beyond my expectations.
We then hung them on our "art wall" in the correct order starting with the sun. I remember being young and having that love for space. Its been fun to relive that excitement with Tyler.
