I was asked last week to teach a class at Enrichment on "Creative Birthday Treats". Man this is right up my ally. I LOVE making creative snacks and desserts with my kids, what better excuse to let my creative juices stir something up to teach the sisters. Its seems each decade I find a new and exciting way to express my artistic side. Its seems these days I have found so much passion in expressing my art through food. It makes me happy to create a snack or birthday treat that my kids will forever cherish in the memory and photo albums.
So I came up with these two ideas. Not ever doing them before I was a little hesitant on how they would turn out. I slaved all day over these delicious, creative cupcakes. My poor house and kids were left to fend for themselves as I slaved over the stove and counters trying to bring my imagination to life. When the day was said and done the DARN snow ruined it all. Relief Society Enrichment night was CANCELED. UGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! I could have cried, but instead I just wiped the counter off and starting diving into dinner for my family, then continued onward in the bedtime routine like there was nothing different about the day. Except there was one thing..... my cupcakes were just sitting there..... lonely and abandoned. Oh well tomorrow I will be making a stop at my friend Wendy's house to give her kids a treat of a lifetime. Cheers :)

you are very creative. I will look for your submission in the magazine! Good Luck.
Cute. Hey submit 'em. Why the heck not!
I was way bummed that they canceled, too, Keri! Sorry all of your hard work didn't get it's time in the spotlight!
