Ive lived in the Carson City area long enough to know the routine of our Spring Seasons. Its a mixture of warm fronts, and cold storms. Believe you me those storms can get pretty nasty, cold, and sometimes even snowy. But I sure do enjoy the warm fronts. The calm before the storms. It makes Spring all that more enjoyable. This whole week its been in the High 60's. Its given the kids and I major spring fever. We have been enjoying long walks at the river with max, playing at the park till dusk, eating dinner in the daylight, Fresh wind through my windows, giggles and playful cheer in the backyard, and the wonderful smell of baseball season. I can feel summer just around the corner. I learned something about myself as a mother this Spring of 2010. That the kids and I always do better when we are out of the house doing something fun. We are not home bodies. I have such a hard time getting down on my knees and playing cars all day. But put me outside in the fresh air and sunshine with my kiddos and I can play my heart out. Winter has been long and cold with too many flu bugs holding us down. But boy does it feel good to get out in the fresh air. Leave the messy house behind and play our hearts out. Gotta love Springtime.
This Mama's best friends are the tiny ones she raising in her home. I love these kids and I love playing with them each and everyday.
Picnic Time
This picture definitely earned a spot on our living room wall. Priceless.
As I walk with my oldest son, I cant help but to tear up as he still loves to hold his Mama's hand. What a sweet moment for him to slow down his pace and walk quietly with me in the spring air. Moments like this I treasure forever.
