Tomorrow Morning bright and early Tyler will be saying goodbye to his tonsils. Hes on the borderline of child sleep apnea. Lately hes been having a hard time concentrating and even staying awake during the day. He gets tired and crabby during the late afternoon. He has also been snoring and gagging himself during the night to the point where he doesnt wake up rested or alert. I noticed all this change in him about 6 months ago and it was with the help of his preschool teachers. We all started noticing Tylers behavior changing. He was crabby and tired which set a bad tone for him at school. That is not like Tyler. He is usually full of life, very alert, considerate, and easy going. Its hard to say how much of that is really from the tonsils, but he has been followed the past 3 years for his large tonsils and they DONT seem to be getting any better... just worse. We felt it was important for him to get the proper sleep and feel refreshed each morning for Kindergarten and not have this condition hanging over his head and making his days long and stressful. I think it will be a good thing. Tyler really wanted to see his tonsils before they were taken out so we decided to try and snap a picture to help educate him and let him say his goodbyes. Spencer was already in bed so he missed out on the fun. But I have never laughed so hard with the kids as I did snapping pictures of the inside of their throat. have you ever tried that? Not as easy as you think. Its a riot.
Tylers tonsils
Tyler's brand new surgery PJ's. Perry the platypus from Phineas and Ferb. he was so excited to wear them and hes even more excited to eat ice cream and otter pops all day tomorrow.
Of course Trevor had to join in the fun. this was his attempt at taking a picture of his tonsils. He was cracking up.
Oh and these are Trevor's normal everyday PJ's that he was so excited to show off to the world. Silly boys. Ill spare you the picture of Perry and I's tonsils. LOL
Wish Tyler luck tomorrow. Bye Bye Tonsils.
