I SURRENDER

We bought this picnic table the other day and it needed to be sealed. I first wanted to paint it white so I thought it would be a fun activity for the kids and I to do one HOT afternoon. Bad idea. I think paint got all over everything else but the table, not to mention the mud from the dirt pit that the kids thought was fun to throw at the table while Mommy was trying to finish painting in 90 degree weather.It was so HOT that day that within 2 minutes the pain would be dry. Thats not good when you got three little monkeys dripping paint all over the table and Mommy trying to manage and referee all the tiny little drips that were drying all over the place. Finally I turned the hose on and threw it out in the lawn and the kids magnetized to that while I finished tackling the drips. I then "SURRENDERED". Its just plain impossible to paint a huge picnic table with three little munchkins. Though it was pure madness I do know aside my own feelings the kids really did have fun painting in their underwear and giggling about being naked outside. They are so gosh darn cute even when then ornery.

So yeah it sat on the back porch half painted till dadddy came home and finish it. Luckily he did and it turned out beautiful as I had expected it would in the end.
