Our most favorite thing to do as a family lately has been going on long bike rides around town. We decided last night to ride our bikes across town to Tylers Gymnastics class and then out for ice cream afterwards. The only problem was that the tires on my bike have been flat for a while now and just wont hold air anymore. I thought of just getting new tires since I love my mountain bike anyways, but Perry had other plans in mind. Friday morning he called me up and asked if I could find some extra time to run by the bike shop and check something out. He didnt tell me what exactly but I knew he had a surprise up his sleeve. I couldnt wait for nap time to be over so we could go check this surprise out. As soon as I showed up to the shop and walked in I was treated with the up most royalty. I truly felt like princess no joke. The guy at the counter asked if I was Keri. Once I confirmed my name he walked me over to this nice Cruiser Classic. I looked down at the price tag and it said SOLD. I felt spoiled. He stated that my husband had paid and taken care of everything even the hamburger bell on top. How cute is that. I took a test drive and within 1 hour it was home on my front porch awaiting our family evening bike ride.
I felt a little guilty having him spend that kind of money on me when I was just fine with a cheep new fix of a tire. But I never argued or asks questions about the money for in his eyes he was beaming with joy that he is able to afford such a lavish gift for his wife. Growing up money was extremely tight for him and his family. He grew up in several tiny trailers and 5th wheels. They didnt have much and his dad never had a steady job or income. I have learned in our many years of marriage to not complain or make judgement on little splurges he throws on me and the family at these random times. To him its a great sense of accomplishment to be in the position to buy these type of things. He said the cutest thing to me before our family bike. he gave me a big hug and kiss and told me that I am a hard working Mom that deserves something special every once and a while. He was so happy to see me riding on this classic bike. Like I said the beam in his eye was priceless.

Unfortunately I think I way over did myself on our bike ride. My little belly was in lots of pain when we returned home accompanied with some braxtin Hicks. I couldnt believe I could feel so sore so early in this pregnancy. I seriously felt like I was 7 months pregnant riding a bike. I think my cruiser will have to settle for more low key strolls around the neighborhood till baby is born. Funny what 3 full term pregnancies will do to you body. I thought my insides were gonna fall out before I could get home. LOL but its all good we still had a blast and the ice cream stop was the best part of the ride.

I thought my new bike looked so fitting in front of the ice cream shot. Such a classic picture.
Thank You Perry! I Love You!
