A "Perfect" ending to a "NOT" so perfect day

Seeing my husband walk in the door after a long days work with a bouquet of flowers in his hands was just the perfect ending to a not so perfect day.

Today was just one of those days were you just wanna run and hide in a hole and cry. Today was the day i was suppose to take my 3 boys to the Reno Air Races for our yearly family tradition. We as a family have been talking about this for months on end. The time had finally come. Just as we arrived into reno Spencer got sick and threw up all over himself in the car. It felt like someone just jerked my chain. A morning that was filled with cheers of joy and chants for the races suddenly turned into tears sickness and fear on spencers part and a set of over reactive brothers grossed out by the smell and incident in the car. It went from peace to utter chaos. My mom and I pulled over and tried to clean him up the best we could and headed home. We canceled our plans for the day. Perry had to work all day today so I had to handle this on my own. I through a few pity partys, but like I always do eventually wipped my tears away jumped in the shower and started my day over again. My mom took the older boys for the whole day as I snuggled away the sickies with my baby peanut while watching "Letter to Juliet". Once again i had to decide which road I would travel. I didnt want my sorrows and frustration to eat away my day. My little man needed me and thats just the way it goes when your a mom. Life isnt always fair when you have little chicks to care for. They always come first. Im not a fan of sick kids but I will say it is a great time to take advantage of all those overdue snuggles and hugs. My boys usually never have time to slow down and snuggle with their MaMa. But today was Spencers and Mommys day to put everything aside and just enjoy some long much needed snuggles on the couch. I just love the feeling of your little childs arms all wrapped around your neck. Its the greatest feeling of love. I made the most of my day and decided to spend some time outside painting an old school desk I have been dying to find time to restore. It was a very layed back day, and though my heart was set on taking my boys to the Air Races, I eventually got over it and found joy and happiness in my home bound day.

How could Spencer be so gosh darn cute, even with his pucky little cheesy grin. Whats not to love about this little man.

Thank You Mom for stepping in an taking the boys all day. It was nice to know they could still have a fun filled day and not have to be stuck at home with poor little sick Spencer. It made for a very quit peaceful place for Spencer to rest and take it easy. I love you MOM, youre the best MiMi in the world, thats for sure.
