1:30pm.......kids wake up from another short afternoon nap leaving Mommy unrested as always.
I hear the doorbell ring and the dog kick into high protective mode. As I hushed the dog and settled the kids I became puzzled on who it could be. I open the door to the most beautiful bouquet of Daisy's in a firetruck vase. I knew it was a little token of Perrys love and support for me this week as he has been away on a hunting trip.He knows im collecting firetruck stuff for the boys room so the vase was a special treat in itself. It was just the thing I needed to get through my day.
Theres been a lot of pressures on me this week to tend to 3 hyper little boys and all the side issues they are enduring, a giant 90lbs puppy dog, and a pregnant 6 month old belly. Ill tell you it hasnt been easy this week, but with my moms help here-and-there and extra activities aside school we've managed to stay pretty busy. I thought it was very sweet for Perry to spend some of his vacation money on me and this beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Its nice to know that as I support his hunting habits that he supports his wife and mother of his children. The job of a Mother may not come with a paycheck or vacation time, but I do get paid in sentimental ways.... such as the meaning behind these flowers or all the sweet kisses and hugs I receive daily from my boys. That to me makes it all worth it in this job we call Motherhood.
