take that you EVIL VILLAIN...GO USA!

At 7:30ish last night the boys bedtime show was interrupted with the announcement that Osama bin Laden had been captured and killed. At first the boys didnt understand the situation as much as Perry and I did. We simply explained that USA(our country) caught the Worlds most EVIL VILLAIN(Osama bin Laden). At that moment all the boys cheered and jumped like monkeys around the house as if it was a realistic super hero news report. The spirit and pride of our country was born in the souls of our little men that night, and I will have to admit my soul was filled with a magnificent rush of spirit and pride as well. As Perry and I stayed up late watching the Presidents Speech and the news reports, we both commented that it was good to finally see our country unite together.... in Obama's words as "One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty, and Justice For All". GO USA!

This morning Daddy proudly hung our American Flag outside. I looked at Tyler and mentioned how we should make an American Pride Shirt for this special day. Seeing that we are both art junkies, without hesitation I whipped out this homemade shirt for Tyler to wear with pride on this special historical day.


And guess what...just as I was about to drop him off for school he came down with the tummy flu. Poor kid he was devastated that he wouldnt be able to show off his pride today at school. Oh well its the thought that counts right. We'll just tuck this shirt in the closet and dust it off in a couple months for the 4th of July.
