Baby Ryan is now 5 months old. He is just now beginning to discover the world around him. Its so fun to see him dance and jump with glee each time he takes a glance and his older brothers. You can see his eagerness to join in on the fun. Little does he know that hes got a long way to go before he can really run around with them. But he sure enjoys babbling and laughing with them.
He is half way there in the sitting up department. With a little support hes a happy little camper sitting up and playing. At the rate hes going it wouldn't surprise me if he was sitting up on his own over this next month.
I just love his blond fuzzy hair thats coming in. As of now my guess is that he will be a little blondie.
Tyler loves being old enough to pick baby up and carry him over to the couch. I find them all the time snuggled up together laughing and smiling at each other. It's priceless. And the middle boys love to join in on the snuggles and kisses to.
He discovered his toes this past week and it so funny to watch his reaction as he realizes this new found toy is a part of his body.
And this month we began to dive into out rigid sleep routine. I have practiced this method with all of our boys and its amazing how much it works and how it helps them get the proper sleep to be healthy an alert the following day. This month is about teaching him sleeping ques. Awake time means sunshine and playtime, Nap time or bedtime means a quit dark relaxing atmosphere. he has really begun to recognize these signs and it has made it easier for him to fall asleep. I have also found his special comfort ritual. The minute I place a burp cloth or light weight blanky over his face he instantly falls asleep. oh and he LOVES his binky. I couldnt be happier. Hes fitting nicely into his 10:00am and 1:00pm nap and goes to bed for the night around 6:30pm. His awake period is anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours. If I respect his awake time he is better able to fall asleep unassisted and on his own and is a happier baby during the day. Giving him confidence in his ability to sleep is such a rewarding feeling as his Mother.
