This was Tyler's first year playing football. There were some plus's and negative's throughout this experience. First of all he loves playing sports and thrives in things that challenge him. He loved defending the ball and at times even intercepting it. At the same time it was a big challenge for him. The practices were long and bruttle. It got very repetative and boringng. One thing he learned is that football is a serious sport. The coaches demand respect, hard work, good health, good grades, and being on time. All characteristics that are good for building a strong and focus young man.
As parents really enjoyed the football season. We think Tyler did awesome and was a very hard worker. We were able to teach Tyler that there's oposition in all things. And we promised Tyler that when the season's over he will reflects back on his experience, look at these pictures, and only remember the good that came from it. That's how our Heavenly Father blesses us after we endure our trials. Its an important lesson to learn in life. We spent many days and nights reflecting on this amazing sport and the simularities is has to living the gospel and being a man of honor and worth. It were those indepth conversations that help him stay strong and play till the end. He never gave up and alwasy worked hard to show strength emotionaly, physicaly and spiritualy. I hope that he will always remember the power of attitude and carry this experience into future challenges. We keep reminding him that quiting something (thats good for you) is never an option but your attitude is. So all around we'll give this football season a "Thumbs Up" I can attest that one of the highlights of the season was having his Dad be one of the coaches. They had so much fun together and having Dad on the field made the experience a lot more managable and enjoyable. What a great Dad to step in and help. We are so proud of you Tyler for all your hard work you put into this football season. You're and amazing little man. We love you lots Bud!Saturday, October 15, 2011
