Tyler's Hand

Well this week I took the kids to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. Like always I parked my car and got Tyler out first on my side. Then go around to get Baby Trevor on the other side. Well as I was shutting the Minivan door I hear Ty's little voice say "wait mommy my water". And at that moment I heard his little hand get stuck in door and he starting screaming. I jarred the door open and held him in my arms. he cried and screamed and I felt so guilty. I looked at his hand and it had a pretty good size cut on the backside and it was all swollen and bruised. Once he calmed down we were able to still get some shopping done. I watched him throughout the afternoon and it seemed he was playing just fine. But after dinner I asked Tyler to come inside to undress for bath and he couldnt even use his hand. I gave him a quick bath and rushed him over to an Urgent Care here in town.

He insisted on wearing his cowboy outfit to the Urgent Care. He had all the nurses rapped around his finger. He was so cute. The Doctor Splinted it over night to keep it safe and we were to get it x-rayed in the morning.That next morning before Daddy left for work he signed Tylers splint. It was so cute. Tyler thought that was the coolest thing ever. Later that afternoon we got a call back from the Doctor saying that there is no brake or sprain. What a relief our lucky cowboy got to take his splint off and be a happy little boy. Good ending to sad story. I think Tyler has learned his lesson on standing back when mommy is closing the car door. Iv'e learned to put him in the cart while I close the door. LOL
