This is a very exciting yet scary time for the Lawson Bunch. My good friend Melissa emailed me this home that's in foreclosure and its in our price range. If we end up getting this house we will walk in with instant equity, but the only hard part is the mortgage is higher then we are paying now. Can we make up the difference when we are already on a tight budget as it is. Is there more tricks to being frugal then i know. I do my best everyday to make our money stretch as far as it can, but maybe there is more that I can do.
We have made an offer and will hear back tomorrow if they will accept our offer or not. The bank has already said that they feel we are the right fit. So we have a 98%chance of getting this if we want it. Lots of decision and emotions are running through our heads today. The only sure thing I can trust is the spirit. We are going to the temple tonight to clear our heads and to hopefully know what the Lord has in mind for our family at this time. The most important thing is having a happy family and marriage, not owning a home. So if this works out great.... if not its gonna be for the better. Family comes first not your possessions.
My question to you is what tricks do you have to be super frugal. I need your advice on this chaos going on inside my head.

Keri, that's wonderful! You will have to let me know where the house is located. Yes, it's scary, and it's scary to htink about a bigger mortgage payment, but SO worth it! There is so much to be said for OWNING a home! Congrats!
I'm excited for you guys you will have to let me know how it works out and you have my friend Kim to thank for this it was all her I just relayed the message. My tip to pinch and pinch and then pinch more is to get rid of everything you can't live without such as cable tv, cell phone (if possible)we got lucky and don't have to pay for ours, and then making a lot of things at home that you would usually buy at the store such as bread, tortillas, granola bars I can show you how it saves you a ton.
Wow, that is way exciting. I hope all turns out for you like it should. I have lots of ideas for being frugal-but you probably already know them.
Good luck Keri. When you figure out the key to saving tons above what we already know. I saw they accepted you offer, so what is your guy's plans now? Where is the home?
