So yesterday I wrote a cute story about Tyler and his good boy chart. For some reason the computer erased it so here we go again. Take Two.
To make a long story short as you all know Ive been trying to figure out my 3 year old son Tyler. Hes been more on the naughty side of life lately and like always ive been trying to dig in deep and find a solution. Thats just the way I m. Anytime I I come to a fork in the road I try my best to take the positive route and find ways to bring more joy in the situation. Its just my nature. So this has been a tough challenge. I spent several weeks carrying this little prayer in my heart that I could come up with a good solution and this is what Ive been inspired to do. Tyler is so much like me. He is Creative, sensitive, determined, and a visual learner. So we made this fun "Good Boy Chart" . His is obsessed with Smokey so I went with Smokey theme.
He has really grabbed ahold of the idea and is becoming quit the angel in the home. He still has his moments..but dont we all. He has more of a drive to make good choices cause he loves to see Smokey the bear climb the mountain. He made it to the top of the mountain and even though he may slip downhill from time to time Smokey has managed to remain towards to top.I think the reason we butt heads so much is we are so much alike. Im trying to bring back a little more structure and visual aids as I continue to teach Tyler right from wrong.
Tyler and I have a new inside joke: There this book we read all time called " HUG" by Jez Although its our new theme book. Just like this little monkey in the book he feels he has lost his Mommy..all he wants is a hug from Mommy. I think of that a lot with Tyler. Having these 2 babies in the house Tyler and I have lost touch. Now that Im focusing more on his needs and giving each of my children equal attention Tyler has been filled with joy and so have I. So our little inside joke is I will call out to him "BoBo" and he'll call out "MOMMY" and we will run to each other and give big hugs. This little inside joke gives us the biggest smiles and fills our hearts with joy. I love you Tyler man thanks for being so patient with your Mommy while I adjust to the babies in the house.

3 Little Monkeys:
You are a good mom, Keri!
You're so creative-you'll have to give me tips for Delaney.
I got your message today and sorry that I didn't have a chance to call you back yet. Today was crazy-to say the least. We would love to go on Saturday (that's totally our thing), but we're going to the state fair that day. Maybe a different weekend?
I'll call you tomorrow-don't want to wake any sleeping babies up at your house now. Emily
I am glad you have found a way to make some head way. You are so creative and so diligent.
