Me and the three boys have been playing a lot outside this month. I can't believe its the month of November and it's in the 60's. Its been beautiful. The other day I decided to teach the boys how to make mud pies. Even our 6 month old Spencer though it was interesting. We first started of by mixing dirt with water to make a cake like batter. Once we had the pie mixture made we added rocks and sticks for spices. Each boy got a turn to stir all together and then Tyler the big brother poured it into the baking pan. We then topped it off with some leaves for decorations and placed it on the front porch to bake in the sun. We had so much fun getting messy and dirty and letting our imagination run wild. I am such a tom boy so I am definitely enjoying being a Mother of 3 little boys. Its fun to share with them all my childhood memories. Next it will be to teach them how to bild an insect cemetery (another childhood memory) so stay tuned. LOL
The next day before Pre-school I told Tyler is was "show and tell" day. The teacher wanted them to bring something brown to share. He decided to share with his class his homemade "Mud Pie" I just had to go and take some pictures. The kids were amazed that there was even such a thing in this world. I guess Im the only mom that plays in the mud. The kids were just so amazed. It was a moments in my life that was just Priceless. I love my boys and I love Mud. LOL
4 Little Monkeys:
Looks like you and the boys had a lot of fun!!! You are so creative with the kids Keri!!
Love, Aunt Candy
keri you are a great mother to little boys!! I am hoping for another girl becuase I don't think I can do things like that! Thanks for you comments on our blog by the way... the one about the baked potato was hysterical. And your comment about Kaiya meeting the new baby at the hospital made me cry! (in my defense of crying so easily, i am pregnant).
I've never made a mud pie before. Hard to believe!
our family pictures were done by Aubrey Davidson now Boulton. I am not sure if you remember her or not.
