My First Loaf of Bread

I did it!!! I made my first loaf of homemade bread. So my best friend Melissa (who to me is the master at bread making) moved to Washington this past year. She was the one who inspired me to start making my own bread. Every time I would go over to her house she would have a fresh baked loaf of bread ready to cut and the house would smell oh so yummy. Ever since she moved Ive been to intimidated to conquer my first loaf alone without her help, until Wendy my friend gave me a simple but amazing recipe to try. I couldnt hold myself back. With Mellisa's advice and encouragement over the phone I was able to make my first loaf of Honey Whole Wheat Bread. The kids even enjoyed helping me and the outcome was worth all the anticipation and devotion. I feel confident now to continue making bread monthly for my family. Yeah Me!! Thanks Melissa for your help and friendship and Wendy for this easy yet scrumptious recipe.

The boys loved punching and rolling the dough.

Thanks Carrie for your great advice on rising the bread in the car. it worked perfectly.

The finished product. Oh and it smelt so good in our home. Yummmo

Yay Keri I told you that you could do it. It looks so good. That loaf pan you used is awesome it is so big. I made bread yesterday and put it in the car to raise to so thank you for that tip it really cut down on the time it took to raise. You are now a domestic diva!
