The Gift of Love

I had a moment in my life as a Mother that I have been dreaming off since Tyler was born. If there is one thing I want my boys to learn in their lifetime it would be for them to be compassionate towards others and have there minds focused on service.

It has warmed my heart this Christmas season to see my 5 year old son communicate heart to heart with others around him. Christmas week when kids are normally focused on all the toys under their own tree, my 5 year old son Tyler came up to me with a honest plea. In his own words He said he wanted to give some of the joy he feels in his heart to someone other kid that may be sad this year. He asked me one morning if he could buy a special toy for anther kid that dosnt have anything this year. With warmth in my heart and the spirit in my soul without another word we all jumped in the car and off to target we went. Tyler picked out a couple toys for a certain special 2 year old, that wouldnt be getting much this year. We came home and he spent all afternoon rapping the gifts with his "heart a glow". That night after bath and jammies we made the special delivery. The Gift Of Love! A moment our family will never forget. A family traditional we will carry on through every Christmas season. For giving is the reason for the season. Im grateful my son has been able to feel the true spirit of Christmas this year, as young as he may be.

So great. What a sweet boy. I love his happy little smile. He looks like he was really excited to deliver the presents. What a wonderful gift. :)
