A New Story Teller In The House

I missed the memo. TYLER CAN READ, I MEAN REALLY READ!!!

Just 6 months ago Tyler was able to read but it was very slow going. He had to sound out every letter then hook it together to form the word. In his Mothers eyes it was beautiful to see. He was kinda feeling burnt out over the holidays with my daily request for his reading so I just let it go. Didn't want to push it on him.

Then just this week he starts asking if he can read his own bedtime story. My eyes lit up. When he sat down in my lap and opened that book, it was such a surprise to see him reading the words so quickly and smooth. My first reaction was "When did this happen" "How did this happen". I may never know....but Im so glad the excitement is back and he is enjoying reading his books all by himself. The sweetest part is how excited his younger brothers are to now snuggle up with him and listen to him read. It sure does warm a Mothers heart. I just had to share this, its a wonderful mile stone to hit.
