14.3 and that's final!!!

Okay so today I am officially 14.3 weeks along. Up to this point I have been on hormone pills to ensure proper growth and health of the baby and I. Now that im entering into my second trimester doctors feel is now safe to let baby grow with no extra help. Its a very scary feeling to carry and nurture this little child of mine on my own, I need to have more confidence in my body and that will come through time and watching this little one grow and progress. I was suppose to stop the pills at week 12 but its been confusing lately what my exact due date was. It seems to be ever changing and very confusing. Nurse would say something totally different to me on the phone then Doctor would in the office during an appt. Each time I went to see her or do an ultra sound baby would either be further along or not as far as we expected. It's been pretty nerve racking to be honest. But as I drew closer to my 13 week I called the nurse once again with confusion on my weeks and when to stop the hormone pills.

She then clarified to me the reason for the major confusion these past weeks. When I was first aware of my pregnancy (week 5) and saw the babies heartbeat for the first time I wasnt far enough along to really formulate a due date but they did tell me roughly January 19, 2011. Then as I went in for my 9 week ultra sound it was confirmed a perfect growing pregnancy with an exact due date of January 7, 2011. The problem I ran into with the nurse on the phone each time I called was that we discovered the Doctor was late in updating her notes so the nurse was going with the only ultra sound she had at the time the 5 week one. To make a long story short as I called today the nurse verified the proper due date and confirmed it to be accurate and precise. So without further adu let me for once and for all announce our final due date.

Drum Roll Please.......

January 7th, 2010. yep and if this pregnancy follows the same pattern for delivery that my other 3 did it would set me right around Christmas Day or My Birthday the 26th. How crazy would that be. oh and baby's heartbeat is still staying in the high 170's. he he he :) could it really be a girl? time will tell. I sure hope so. Anyways thats my latest in this preggo world.
