We have started back into swimming lessons and are extremely lucky to have our most favorite teacher Sandy available to teach this kids. She has been away for a while and it just hasnt been the same without her. She taught Tyler his first swimming lessons at the age of 3 and is amazing. Once you have a teacher like Sandy nobody can compare. I called her up and she gladly offered to teach all 3 of my boys private lessons every Monday night. Tyler picked right up where he left and is excited to be challenged beyond his ability.

We have kinda make it our weekly family night. Its been fun having Daddy there to occupy the younger boys while its Tyler turn.

I have had a plan in mind since Spencer was born and Trevor was nearly 12 months old. With them being Irish Twins I really wanted to help save time and money by putting them together in extra curricular activities. This being our first attempt it seems to be going very well. Spencer is only 2 1/2 so having him join Trevor in swimming lessons is quit the experience for both of them. But it sure is nice to see them join together and help one another as they learn.

Trevor absolutely LOVES the water just as Tyler does. He is a very good listener and has really exceeded Sandys expectations. He was all smiles and grins the whole time. His most favorite thing to do was give Mommy wet fishy kisses.

Spencer on the other hand was terrified of the water. But you cant expect much when hes only 2. His comprehension isnt the greatest yet, but its getting there. He is able to listen to Mommy during potty training so I figure he will eventually be able to comprehend and follow instructions in the water as well. Hes a very independent little tike so following directions will be good for him.
It was super cute watching Spencer and Sandy work together. he would hold onto her for dear life and she was so gentle and kind natured towards him. very patient and understanding. She told me that this is typical and totally normal for his age and having his older Brother Trevor with him will only help encourage him and give him the confidence to do it. By the end of his first lesson he had already gained enough trust with sandy to jump in from the side with a big smile on his face at the end of the lesson. It was wonderful to see.

My goal behind these swimming lessons is that hopefully these 3 boys will be capable and confident in the water next summer while Mommys hands will be busy and occupied with the new baby. Its so nice knowing that Tyler can swim and take care of himself in the water, now its would be amazing to get my littlest boys to do the same. Fingers Crossed.
