We had a lovely Thanksgiving Day. Us girls spent the better half of the morning baking pies and preparing the turkey, while the boys hung out in the TV room playing Wii, play dough, wrestling, and making Turkey Crafts. To me Thanksgiving is more then just the feast its the unlimited time with Family. Sometimes I always wonder what it would be like to live somewhere else besides Carson. Then the Holidays remind me of the blessings it is to live so close to family and that maybe the grass isnt so green on the other side. Family is everything, and Im grateful Perry's job has allowed us to stay and live so close to family.

I love how Tyler can spell and read now. I decided to put him in charge of making the name tags for the Dinner Table. I made a check off list for him and he then drew and wrote little name tags with Turkeys, Pilgrims, Indians, and mayflowers on them. They turned out amazing, and he even made a Giant Thanksgiving Turkey for the center piece. Good Job Tyler!

I decided to create a new tradition of writing something youre thankful for each year on this Thanksgiving Table Cloth. It seems all us girls thought it was an awesome idea, as for the boys....lets just say this tradition wont last long I dont think. The one disadvantage of having a house full of boys is that all of Moms sentimental girly ideas are just not cool. Oh well I will hold true to this tradition and see how long I can force the boys to follow along. Maybe thy will just have a table cloth of all the things their Mother, Grandmother, and Aunt are thankful for. Better then nothing right!
We then had a special treat....William Bradford, Squanto and other fellow Indians joined us after dinner for a Thanksgiving Skit. Squanto made enough Turkeys to pass out to all his new Pilgrim friends in the audience. It was a great way to be reminded of the true meaning of Thanksgiving.
