So I hear its pretty common to swell up after having a c-section. With this one being my first I had no idea what I was up against. I came home from the hospital fatter then when I arrived pregnant. Okay now thats just depressing. I do have high blood pressure to help add to the problem, which made for one swollen mom.
Before Baby Ryan was born Tyler had been requesting to paint my toe nails for Baby Ryans arrival. I took Tyler to the store to pick out his favorite nail polish. His choice was a nice shimmery orange. He sure knows his Mama's favorite color. I was excited and so was he. Well time kinda crept up on us and baby Ryan was born before Tyler could get to my toes.
So one night last week before bed Tyler says his prayers and then states to Perry and I that first thing in the morning we were gonna paint Mommy's toes, in his words "No more excuses". Such a cute kid.
So early that next morning Daddy helped the kids set up for this big event. As I sat and fed Baby Ryan each boy took their turn "Painting Mommy's Sausage Toes".
First Tyler
Then Trevor

Followed by Spencer
Have I mentioned I have the greatest Husband in the world. If having a house full of little boys was my fate then so was having this wonderful man in my life to guide and direct these little men in pampering, caring, respecting, and loving women in their lives. Starting first with their MaMa, their first girl. I can only imagine this energy in my boys hearts as they grow older begin to date and someday get married, that they will continue to have this Strong desire in their hearts to love and tend to the sweet women in their lives. Their Daddy is the best coach in their lives.

Ta..Da.. These have got to be the most beautiful "Sausage Toes" in the world. Not only painted with love, but covered in the art and joy of our little children. Perfect!!!
Once done everyone even the dog hung out in the Baby's room while I finished feeding Ryan. That room was cozy, comfy, and full of giggles and laughter...alongside the joy of having little Ryan here in my arms. I havnt felt this much joy in my heart for months....this pregnancy has been a long road for all of us. Feels good to reap the blessings and rewards.

My feet never swelled until after I had Natalie too and I didn't have a c-section. It freaked me out especially with all my ICU nurse type thinking and sore chest and things. You can make yourself crazy! I love the things you are teaching your boys. What a great mom you are. I hope you are getting some rest too! Ryan is so cute!
