Puppy Party

Yes we're a little Kooky(a favorite saying of the kids) when it comes to our animals and pets. We get a little into the spirit of things and go a little overboard. Bradleys Puppy Party can be consider on of those overboard moments. I have always been a big animal lover. I consider my pets to be just as special as my own kids. With that being said...Yes we held a Puppy Birthday Party for Bradley's 1st Birthday.

Without further Adu...let me introduce the Birthday Dog.

Oh and did I mention that Trevor and Bradley share the same Birth Date. April 18th that is. What little boy wouldnt want to share his special day with his best furry friend. Trevor is one lucky kid.

Whats a birthday party without puppy friends. Talk about sharing the same birthday date, Bradley's girlfriend Madison(another Great Dane)also shares her birthday on the same day as Bradley and Trevor. Madison turns 2 this year.
The dogs engaged in Puppy Play, while us Adults engaged in some good old human interaction.

As for the kids they dived right in with the dogs and burned off their energy chasing them around the yard.

A sneak peak into the Birthday party Chaos. No need for Birthday games, instead the dogs decided to organize their own dog races.

Dogs stayed outside and played while we came inside for a yummy Homemade Turkey Sloppy Joe dinner. With a scooby doo Theme. *Important Fact- Did you know scooby doo is a Great Dane!


A Puppy Party just isnt complete without a Special Turkey Birthday Cake topped with yummy Dog Bits, with of course a candle on top. One for each Birthday Dog that is, Bradley and Madison. *Another Important Fact- Did you know that Great Danes have to eat 1 cup of meat twice a day with their meals. These dogs need a high source of protein in their diet to help support their massiveness.

To help prevent bloat in these giant dogs, Great Danes have to wait at least 30min-1 hour before and after excessive exercise in order to eat. Since we couldnt get the dogs to stop their competitive dog racing, we had to hold off on their Birthday Cake until after the party and after a long post party nap.

But just as we were putting the kids to bed, we sang Bradley a Happy Birthday Song, helped him blow out his candle. We then watched him devourer his delicious Turkey Birthday Cake.
