Somehow I survived a trip to the local swimming pool with my 4 little boys. Its moments and days like these where I like to describe my motivation to be the same as a soldier getting ready to jump out of a moving helicopter. "Mooooove out soldier"...is often my internal dialogue. Yes it seems scary and a bit more then I can handle, but once I take that jump of faith Im surprised at what I really can conquer.
Heres proof that we all survived with smiles on our faces. It ended up being a terrific well organized day, full of fun times and good memories.
Baby Ryan hungry again

Nursing baby Ryan in a hot, humid, indoor pool area was quit the challenge....all while keeping my eyes on the other 3 boys in the pool.
Ryan had to finally strip down to his diaper, it was so hot and sticky for him. Isnt he adorable? I sure think so!

Full Tummy, Happy Baby
Now that baby has full tummy, it was time for my oldest boy to play in the deeper hot pool(which I had promised). The middle boys wanted to join him sooo bad, but just dont know how to swim just yet.
So I decided to sit somewhere in the middle of both "kiddy pool" and "Hot Pool". Trevor did not like that idea as you can tell. He wanted his Mommy to get in the kiddy pool with him and play. I simply told his cute frowny face that Mommy just isnt prepared for that kind of endeavour yet.
So Baby Ryan and I hung out on this bench in between both pools.
and finally the middle boys got over their seperation anxiety and ended up having a lot of fun together in the kiddy pool. Way to go big boys.
and last but not least....Tyler like always had to jump off the diving board before going home. I knew sometime I would have to let go and allow him to jump without a life vest. Today was that day. Believe you me I had called over 2 life guards and made them watch him like a hawk. As he took that first jump into the water (life jacket free) I about had a heart attack. My stomach was in my throat and I was short of breath. As he reached the surface of the water I prayed that he would put his skills to the test and swim his little tail back to the ladder without any problems. He did great and of course I never mentioned to him any of my worries. I played it like it was no big deal and that he could do it no problem. once he climbed out the water he gave me a big wet high five and enjoyed a couple more jumps before leaving. Good job Tyler!!!

1 Little Monkeys:
Oh my goodness you are such a brave mommy! I would have been having a heart attack I can hardly handle 2 at the pool. I cannot believe Tyler can swim already? Did he go to lessons for a long time. Cadyn doesnt even like to get his face wet, he is almost 5! Living in Texas I really really need them to know how to swim as I am sure we will be at the lake a lot during the hot summer days. Looks like you had a great day. Once again you are the best mommy ever, and such a great example to me.
