Well as if I havnt had enough surgeries this past year, we might as well add another one to the list shall we. I will be going in bright and early Monday morning to have my Gallbladder removed. Tyler made me this super duper good luck bracelet to keep me pain free and strong. Thanks to my "Lucky Bracelet" I believe all will go well. Our poor boys are getting tired of seeing Mommy always sick, I guess this is just my trial in life I suppose. At least it teaches our boys compassion, love and service.
A couple weeks ago I endured a horrific gallbladder attack. I had never been in so much pain. It put labor pains to shame. As I rushed myself to the doctor they began running some tests. Comes to find out the test revealed a very diseased and inflamed Gallbladder accompanied with two stones that were trying to pass. My doctor sent me over to see a General Surgeon here in town and he seemed very eager to remove the gallbladder as soon as possible before I endured any more torturous attacks. Doctor advised me to stay clear of all fatty and oily foods up until then. I became very strict with my diet and removed all fats and oils accept for EVOO. I ate very small meals and mainly survived off of veggies, whole grains, and grilled chicken. I put a halt on all lat night munchies and didnt eat anything 3 hours prior to going to bed. I was gonna do all I could in my power to NOT have another attack.
I will give credit to my Gallbladder for helping me shave off all my baby weight. Thats a plus! Though Ive been very gun shy with eating, the rewards have been a happy healthy pain free Mommy and a slim and trim waist line (whooohooo). I will be keeping this diet as a part of my daily eating rituals from now on with a slice of pizza every once and while of course. Cant let that go! I got lost a bit in this last pregnancy when it came to eating habits, but it feels great to be getting back on the track thanks to these Gallbladder attacks. Now thats looking on the bright side of things.
Wish me luck, back to sleepy land I go :)
