Tiny Mites

This fall Tyler will be playing Pop Warner Football. This will be his first year and he is on the "Tiny Mites" team. They arranged the team according to weight which I think is great. Practices begin next week and from what the coaches explained to me this sport is not for the weak. Does that go from his Mothers heart too, if so I may not qualify! Though Im a little hesitant about letting my baby get clobbered I will be strong and tough on the outside for him and will support his passion in this sport.
Tyler is sooooo excited he can hardly contain himself. Last night on our way home from picking up his gear I could see in his eyes he was a little overwhelmed at the amount of gear in his lap. I patted him on the chest and rubbed the top of his head as I explained to him that this sport is where boys turn into men. We giggled and laughed together and he replied back saying that everyone better watch out on the field because thats where "TYger" comes to life. Thats his nickname at home. Hes just really excited about this and has been playing dress up all day in his gear. I have a feeling hes gonna be a football junkie. What Do You Think?
