Ririe Reservoir

Today was our first Sunday in our new ward. We love our ward, it is the Lincoln 1st Ward and we meet at 9am. Lots of young families and its very simular in size to our old Carson ward. The boys all did great, even Baby Ryan. They all marched right into their classrooms with out any stage fright. They felt right at home as they knew the routine of of church is consitant wherever you go. Thats one thing I love about the Gospel is that its the same no matter where you go, and what a comfort that brings on this exciting day of change for our family. We all meet some new friends today, and feel very welcomed. We live just around the corner from church, litteraly. So the boys enjoyed a quick easy walk home with Daddy after our meetings. I know, I drove baby and I. Im still a whimp when it comes to this nasty cold Idaho winds. After church we took a much needed Sunday Snooze and then decided to head out on another family adventure, exploring more of our neat little town. We've heard a lot about this Ririe Reservoir just about 15 miles up our street. I didnt believe something like that could excist just right up our street, but sure enough it did. We traveled a couple long straightaways through some beautiful prairies that led us up and over the Wind Mills and right into this little canyon with a neat little Reservoir. The drive out was postcard perfect. On the way home we decided to venture out and look for a side road that might lead us up to one of those nifty cool wind mills. Sure enough we found one and with pure excitment we made our way up to this Giant Beauty. Postcard Perfect once again! We couldnt believe our eyes when we met this Giant Beauty Face-to-Face. It took our breath away for sure. Standing underneath this giant Wind Mill watching it cut the air right above you was on the verge of terrifying. The baby wanted nothing to do with it. He begged to stay in the comfort of our cozy little car. The middle boys had their moments. A few steps out they felt big and brave, more steps in their fears got the best of them and they would flee to the car in sheer panic. Its like nothing youve ever experienced before. Tyler on the other hand ate it up and LOVED the whole thrill of it. The clay cracked road brought imagination and character to the site. We discovered that the cracks, when pulled out gently, became Natures Puzzle. They boys loved removing the peices and then fitting them back in their spots. After spending a couple minutes there, the middle boys became more brave and willing to give this Giant Beauty a small little hug. We never would have guessed from a distance just how wide the base to these machines really are. It was quite the adventure found right outside our backyard. We cant wait to discover more and explore what else is lurking just outside our door.
