We've been having so much fun hiking this summer as a family, we decided this weekend to invite some of our friends along for the fun. Perry and I had been talking about taking the kids up to Angora Lake all summer, so we thought it would be a perfect hike to invite our friends on. We had 13 kids and 8 adults. It was a blast. Even though it took a lot of energy to hike with three little ones, it was well worth it. This summer has been one of the best summers yet . My three boys (well four including Perry) are the light of my life. I love being a Mommy and a wife. And I also love summertime and the outdoors.
Here we are. We survived the hike and made it to Angora lake with smiles on our faces.
Tyler and Jared playing in the water together. Jared loved splashing in the water. These two cute boys were born on the same day about 20 min. apart. So its fun to get them together.
This is Tyler and Anna. Tyler has admitted to us that this is his first crush. He as already ask her to marry him and told her that she would make a pretty mommy and he would take the kids hiking a lot. LOL Its so sweet and so innocent. Anna asked Tyler if he was gonna marry her that day. Tylers response was "no I cant marry you on a hike its to dirty, we'll get married another day" Its just melts my heart to see Tyler so gentle and kind to girls.
Spencer and Karson are just hanging out in the baby tent. The two of them are only 20 days apart. So its fun for Spencer to have a buddy his age to kick around and jabber back and forth to.
Here's a picture of all the 1 year olds. Trevor 16mnths, Jared 16mnths, and Caleb 12mnths. Trevor's doing the Popeye impersonation. LOL
I pulled this big old log over in the shallow end for the kids to jump off. Tyler was so excited, but just before he would jump... he would fold his little arms and pray that he would be safe and remember to swim. Bless his little heart. We've been trying to teach him to turn to his Father in Heaven for comfort when he is scared, Im glad to see him exercising his faith and such a young age.
You can tell the kids had a long yet exciting day. They were both passed out cold when we got back to the car.
Even Spencer was out like a light. Thanks everyone for joining us on this fun hike. We have been so busy being hunkered down by babies these past couple years it was nice to get out in the fresh air with you guys. We'll have to do it again next summer.
