Daddy A.K.A.The Fixer Man

We knew buying this house there would be a few minor projects we would have to do right off the bat. Draining this nasty old pond was the first on our list. Im so glad we have daddy around the fix these things because go near that nasty water if someone paid me and second I would have no clue how to drain that thing. Perry on the other hand didnt mind getting a little dirty. It took him a couple days to drain and remove the stone but he did it. We ended up renting a "Submissive pump" also know as a Subversive pump. Know we know why Im not the handyman of the house. I went to rent the pump at Home Depot and asked for a submissive pump. Once I realized what I said the employee and I just busted out in laughter.
So yesterday I met up with the carpet cleaner to clean our carpets. Before he even began cleaning he walked in with his nose plugged and said "you've got cat pee in here". I knew there was something retched either in the house our under. Now we know what it was. The carpet cleaner pulled up the carpet and this is what we all discovered. Perry and I looked at each other with disgust on our faces.

Perry and my Dad slaving away taking the carpet, pad, and tack strips out to save a little money.
Our new carpet. Isn't Pretty. We love it.

The carpet cleaner said "Im not gonna even waist your time or money". He said we have no choice but to buy new carpet. My first thought is how are we gonna get this done before we move in on Saturday and where is the money coming from. We headed straight to Atkins Carpet. And found some really nice high grade carpet and they can even install it Friday morning. What a true blessing. The best part is we were able to pay all in cash. Thats our goal of this house is to do our best to pay with cash always. It is amazing to see the Lords hands in all that we do. We have prayed about this house and know its right, therefore we know and have faith that we will always have enough to meet our needs. And its true. This house has really tested our faith and made our testimonies grow and for that were are grateful. We love the gospel, we love our family, and we love our new home.

Wow that is absolutely discusting. What did they just open the door and let every cat in the neighborhood use their carpet as a litter box? Man that is gross. That is also funny about the "submissive pump." I would have laughed out loud too. Thanks for your testimony of all things, I really needed it right now because over here we are being tested almost above what I can handle. Thanks. Oh, and I love the carpet. It should be great to hide stains and everything. Oh, make sure you tell them that there was cat urin because I am pretty sure they will have to put something down to make sure that the urin smell doesn't seep throught the pad and into your carpet. I am not sure on that, but just double check because when we got our dog Bandit and left that place on Douglas we had to pay our deposit becuase they had to "Treat" the wood with special chemicals to make sure his stink didn't come through (yeah, like I let him pee everywhere - you know me, bitter subject as you can tell). Glad all is well. TTYL.
