One Crazy Date Night

With two days to pack and fix our carpets perry ad I had no choice but to pull an all nighter last Thursday night. Since our carpets were drenched and stained in cat urine we had to rush and buy new carpet in mass panic before we move our kids in on these floors. We found a place that would install the carpets Friday morning. We had to do it. But to save money we decided to pull the carpet up along with the pads, and tack strips. My sweet husband Perry woke up bright and early Thursday morning 7:00am called in to work and rushed over to pull all carpet up. We got a wild bone in our bodies and decided what the heck we might as well paint since we got the floors all up. I dont think we knew what we were getting ourselves into. 12 hours later Friday morning we finally finished. We had to primer all the rooms, paint them the seal the cat urine down with some Kills paint that seals in the smell. It was one crazy night we never stopped, we just kept plugging away. Even though it was a long and crazy night it was one of the best times Perry and I have had since being married. It was so fun to have a wacky 12 hour date night with my true love and best friend.
As we both rolled on the primer we found ourselves laughing and and talking away. We made the best of of and had a blast.
Our live saver Wendy came over for about 2 hours and helped us primer the rooms. I dont know what we would have done without her. She was a huge help. Thanks again Wendy. Good Times!
At about 3:45am we both felt so sick from both not eating and not sleeping. We took a five minute brake out on our back porch. Perry grabbed an MRE from his truck and dug in. Im sorry i would rather starve then eat a piece of bread that's as flat as a piece of paper and as hard as a rock. Perry on the other hand gobbled up his stale bread. He even added some nasty squeeze cheese on there too. That was just wrong. We had so much fun just being together and coaching each other along through the night. It was one heck of a date night.
We got done with the primer around 11:30pm It took us 2 hours to paint each room. We had a method of painting that worked great. I rolled and Perry worked on detail. Together we made a great team.
We finally finished our master bedroom around 5:45am. We then sealed off the floors and were done by 7:00am. We both went home had some breakfast with the kids and MiMi and perry went to bed. I on the other hand jumped right into Motherhood and took care of the kids till 10:00am. I then dropped them off at my some of our friends homes and I went straight home and took a whopping 2 hour nap before i was up again packing away the house getting ready to move. Talk about one crazy weekend. Perry and I pulled a 30 hour shift, moved our whole family into our home all on about 5 hours of sleep. What a moment we will never forget.
