After a wonderful pep talk from my husband and some nice warm sunshine, im feeling much better and back on the bandwagon of life. I love blogging, its such a great way to keep you focused on keeping a journal and documenting all the wonderful ups and downs each day brings. Ive got lots to document and catch up on, but we will first start with Tyler and his most recent mile stone..."RIDING HIS BIKE WITH NO TRAINING WHEELS". Whooop Whooop
He did better then we expected. Ripe and ready for this change, it only took him a couple tries before he had it down. He went out to breakfast with his Daddy and they spent the whole morning at the park practicing. it was definitely one of those moments Perry and I imagined since he was born he.
After the other 2 boys ate their breakfast and got dressed we headed to the park to check on his progress. As I pulled up I had noticed Tyler riding all around the park, on his own. The only thing that was hard for him was the initial start of riding the bike. I would hear him holler out to Perry " Daddy can you come give me a push...I need you" At that moment it brought a tear to my eye thinking of the relationship we have with our Father in Heaven. We are his children and though we like to ride around in this life on our own, its seems every now and then calling out to him for help when we fall. He then helps us get back up and with a loving hand and voice gives us that little extra push we need to get going again. He cheers us on as he watches us gain strength and overcome new challenges. He is there to cheer us on and catch us when we fall. With me having a rough past couple weeks that symbolism was beautiful in my heart as I watch my kind, loving husband teach our son how to ride his bike on his own.
As we all walked back to our cars, He gave his dad a big squeeze hug and told him that this was the best "Daddy Day" he has ever had. If that doesnt melt your heart then I dont know what will. Congrats Tyler in achieving this new skill and reaching yet another mile stone in life. Love you bud!
