Today was Opening Day for Baseball in our town. I have been dreaming of this since Tyler was born and I cant believe its here. I cant believe he is 5 either. Well my intention this year was to sit back...relax and enjoy this season on the bleachers cheering him on and taking everything in. Yeah that didn't happen...this over achiever mom decided to volunteer and be the "Team Mom". So I have been quit busy at organizing "snack sign up sheets" and making the "Team Banner" for the kids to hang with Pride each game throughout the season. I was stopped in my tracks several times with people labeling me as the "Team Mom". "Yep thats what I am" I said while pulling my cooler full of food and carrying around my Banner. It was at that moment that I realized maybe I went a little above and beyond in my position. LOL. Sure enough as the the Opening Ceremony draws near I realized that indeed I was the only Parent that had made a banner. Though I may have felt a little embarrassed I did get a lot of compliments with my devotion and passion for this game. I wouldn't want it any other way for my son.
Tyler had so much fun playing in his first game. There were a few times I caught him sitting down on the field, during the game, picking the blades of grass totally oblivious. But in those moments I realized just how precious TEE BALL really is. Heres to a great season, may the weather be good to us and give us plenty of warm summer evenings to play in. I wouldnt bet on it though, but either way...rain or shine its all part of the FUN.

2 Little Monkeys:
How fun! They all look so cute in their little uniforms. I'm sure that you're all lovin' it!
Is that Bryce...Sean and Michelle's boy, next to Tyler?
I'm coaching Spencer's baseball (coach pitch) team starting in a few weeks. I can't wait to see Spencer in his uniform.
I love that banner. I may just have to do something like that.
Your banner looks great! Hopefully the lunches were a hit also. CUTE pictures!
