Perry's Hunting Trip - Jack Creek North of Elko Nevada

Perry has not been hunting since he was like 11 years old, so this trip has been on his mind for over 9 months in planning. He had so much fun and spent a whole week with his Brother-In-Laws family "The Gills". Below is a picture of Micah's Father Pete Gill.

This is Perry and Ryan Gill

This is Perry and his Brother-In-Law Micah (Melanies Husband)

Petes father died this past year and loved coming to this camp ground to hunt in years past. In remembrance of him Pete put up a picture of him in their camp.

Perry noticed this badger walking along side of the road one morning on the way to hunt. He stopped the jeep and discovered his home just off the side of the road. He was a fast little guy and only gave Perry a quick second to capture this portrait.

This is Perry's outdoor kitchen set up. Perry ate like a king in the wilderness. On Perrys Menu list was
*USDA Rib Eye Steaks
*King Crab Legs
*Lobster
*Shrimp
*Slow smoked ribs
*Restaurant Style breakfast
I tell you what when Perry goes all out he goes all out. I bet you half of his trailer was full of cooking gear. Hes one top notch chief and I dont have any room to argue since he worked his tail off all summer to save for this lavish hunting trip.

This guy really fought hard not to be eaten. But Perry one the battle and ended up having a real tasty dinner....steamed crab legs with garlic butter. Yummmy!!!!

This was Perrys hotel for the week. He told me he kept calling for room service but never got any replies. :)

Perry walked half way up this mountain in hopes of finding deer, but later discovered on the hike up a bunch of men with their quads. They beat him to it and made the hike all for nothing. But he did see an antelope buck which made it worth his while in the long run.

Over these mountains was Perrys first look at Idaho. Very different shrubbery. A little of everything patches of pine/spruce trees scattered amongst valleys of quakies. They are like an aspen. It was a pretty neat site for Perry.

After hunting for 3 long days and not seeing any bucks, Perry, Ryan, and Micah finally got their own in less then 3 hours. Perry told me later that they all died of lead poisoning. Ohhhhhh so sad for this none hunting wife of his. Those poor deer. At least we've got a full freezer of yummy meat though.
