9 years ago......

9 years ago I married my best friend, wish I had a better picture but unfortunately this picture suffered some water damage. It's a good thing I have the slides somewhere for a reprint someday.

and 9 years later we are still best friends with wiser knowledge of love and commitment. We have endured many hard trials these past years mingled with amazing miracles along the way, our 4 precious boys being the first of those miracles. Each time I look back at these photos of our weddings day Im filled with the tremendous love we both felt for one another. So naive in the world and the trials that we were about to embrace. Ill never forget flying home from our honeymoon and falling ill on the plane, later finding out that this certain illness was going to haunt the fist 8 years of our marriage. Our love really held us together through those tough times. It wasnt easy and it wasnt always fun, but we held on and rode the wave of life. We learned the true meaning of unconditional love at such a very young age.

We have finally now reached the shorelines in life and as we gaze out at the giant waves we can grab our serf boards with confidence and run out to the waves of life with smiles on our faces, love in our hearts, and joy in the challenge to defeat the waves that lie ahead. Im grateful to have my best friend along for the ride. Marriage isnt easy, but neither is life, but there's much joy to be found in the journey.

This year we celebrated nice and quite. With baby Ryan still nursing and money being tight we decided to celebrate our love and our marriage with our 4 little boys. Low key and just with the fam. Very sweet and very simple!!

Hubby and the boys greeted me at the door with flowers in their hands.

While fixing dinner,we jammed to our old Wedding Reception Music CD's.

The boys busting a move to one of our cool love songs.

Our cute little party pooper just wanted to be nursed and put to bed.
Steaks, heart shaped ravioli, and green beans were on the dinner menu along with pot of daisies(our wedding flower) and a wedding picture as a center piece.

We finished the night off by watching our wedding video with the kids. It was a beautiful evening with our beautiful family.
